ASR – Automatic Speech Recognition, technology used to provide information and forward calls, which allows callers to speak entries rather than punch numbers on a keypad.
TTS – Text to Speech, converting text into voice output using speech synthesis techniques.
AMD – Answering Machine Detection, determines whether the call has been answered by a live person, or by a machine.
SMS – Short Message Service, a system that enables cellular phone users to send and receive text messages.
Outbound Dialing – a call initiated from an application to a customer on behalf of a call center, organization, or a client.
API – Application Programming Interface, an interface or “go-between” that enables a software program to interact with other software.
Service Creation Tool – Application development tools that use graphical user interfaces for creating, developing, testing and deploying any telecommunication or voice application.
